LEMALA GAME REPORT - 18 JULY 2011

Lemala Mara:

There has been terrific action reported by our guides at Lemala Mara. The wildebeest have started crossing the Mara River about 2kms from the camp. This has driven the crocodiles into a frenzy with several catches witnessed in a single day by Lemala guests. Other equally exciting moments include lion bringing down the wildebeest in Lamai wedge, a leopard on a tree feeding its prey and a cheetah recovering from a successful hunt.

There were some unusual events too in our beautiful part of northern Serengeti. A Topi bull chased a cheetah up a tree after it tried to kill his mate. There are plenty of mating lions about but one young female embarassingly thinks she is a male. Poor thing is still looking for a mate.

Hippos and elephants continue to amuse the guests.
